Tradewind Recruitment are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Student Support Officer to join a supportive secondary school in Corby.
This rewarding role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning, improve their wellbeing, and achieve their full potential. The successful candidate will work closely with students, pastoral teams, teachers, and parents to provide effective support both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role:

Provide pastoral and behavioural support to students across the school

Build positive relationships with pupils to promote engagement and attendance

Support students experiencing social, emotional, or behavioural challenges

Work alongside teachers and pastoral leaders to implement support strategies
-
Monitor student wellbeing and progress, maintaining accurate records
-
Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies where appropriate
-
Help create a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with young people in an educational, youth work, social care, or support setting

Strong communication and relationship-building skills
-
The ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations

A proactive and resilient approach to supporting students

Excellent organisational and record-keeping skills

A genuine passion for improving outcomes for young people
