Description
The Supply Chain Planner will:
- Support creation of master production schedule and material plan needed to meet the master production schedule or independent customer demand.
- Plan and maintain daily Supply Chain operations in one or more functional areas such as materials, production, inventory, logistics, demand management or order fulfillment.
- Ensure internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.
- Use common processes tools, and information systems.
- Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.
- Execute the daily operational planning process within a specified functional area.
- Identify potential supply chain failures as part of the planning process and mitigate associated risks
- Work closely with stakeholders – internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.
- Use the planning system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain.
- Participate in functional process improvement teams.
Profile
The successful Supply Chain Planner should be/have:
- Experience with ERP or MRP systems.
- Experience in a role involving Supplier Management.
- SAP Experience would be advantageous but is not mandatory
- Experience in Manufacturing Supply Chain is not mandatory but would be a big plus.
- Good Excel skills and numerically capable.
- Good communication skills.
- Available to start a role on short notice.
Job Offer
- Hourly pay ranging from £16.00 to £17.50, based on experience (inside IR35).
- 6 month temporary contract offering flexibility in working arrangements and potential for longer term.
- Based in Peterborough.
- 3 days on site hybrid working (initial 3-4 weeks will be 5 days on site).
