We are seeking a Support Worker to join the team!
Denison House is a wheelchair-accessible home in a lovely residential area in Selby. We are a vibrant, spacious, dementia-friendly care home and can support up to 31 individuals.
We have 15 ensuite bedrooms and several accessible bathrooms alongside a lift and ramp to assist with movement throughout our home. Some ground-floor rooms have patio doors leading onto our garden and patio areas.
We work closely with the people we support, those who are important to them and our local care teams to ensure the people we support at Denison House live well.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead and mentor a team of support workers to deliver exceptional care
- Develop, implement and review person-centred care plans
- Provide practical and emotional support with daily living, personal care, and activities
- Monitor outcomes and document changes in care or wellbeing
- Liaise with families, professionals, and colleagues to ensure consistent, tailored support
- Ensure compliance with safeguarding, policies, and CQC standards
- Support the onboarding and training of junior staff
What You’ll Need
- Previous experience in a senior support working role
- NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care
- Must be Medication Administration trained
- Strong supervision and communication skills
- Excellent care planning & record keeping experience
- Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and nights if required
