Support Worker – FEMALE ONLY

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Support Worker to join our team. FEMALE SUPPORT WORKERS ONLY.

Are you compassionate, dedicated, and looking to make a real difference in the life of young people? We are seeking Support Worker to join our team, providing person-centred care to People We Support with complex health needs and those who need social support or community access.

About the Role:

As a member of one of our care teams, you will support young boys and girls with ASD and ADHD in the family home, with the expectation that once familiar with the young people, the aim will be to support them out in the local area and surrounding parks.

Current shift pattern:

Day Shifts – 5 to 17 hours per week depending on your flexibility. Shifts can be any day of the week between Monday and Sunday. Start and finish times can also be flexible. Additional hours are available during non-term time.

Due to the support being provided which includes personal care – we can only accept applications from female carers/support workers.

Your role is to provide safe, high quality, and compassionate care. Duties include (tasks may vary depending on the needs of the Person We Support):

• Personal care and daily living support

• Promoting independence and emotional well-being

• Keeping the young people safe

• Supporting social and community activities

• Support with school term time hours

• Accurate record-keeping

Requirements:

• Previous care experience preferred

• Experience of supporting people with challenging behaviour (desirable)

• A caring and reliable nature

• Excellent communication skills

• Willingness to undertake specialist training

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Flexibility
