Teaching Assistant (KS2 1:1 Support)
Location: Potters Bar (Primary School setting)
Start Date: 1st September 2026
Contract Type: Temporary
Working Pattern: Full-time (full days) or Part-time (AM only options available)
Daily Rate: £95 – £105 per day
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support from September 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a welcoming, inclusive primary school where children are at the heart of everything.
The school is a community primary setting for children aged 3-11, recently rated Good by Ofsted (2024). Staff work collaboratively to ensure pupils are supported to make strong academic and personal progress, with a clear focus on inclusive practice, high expectations, and nurturing every child to achieve their full potential.
About the Role
You will work closely with KS2 pupils requiring additional 1:1 support, helping them to access learning and develop independence. You will work alongside the class teacher and wider staff team to implement learning strategies, support individual targets, and encourage positive engagement in the classroom.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
- Experience providing 1:1 support to pupils
- A calm, patient and nurturing approach
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Good understanding of behaviour support strategies and differentiation
- Strong communication skills and a proactive attitude
