Year 2 Teacher
Luton Start: September 2026 Full Time Academic Year Role £150 – £180 per day PAYE (dependent on experience and pay scale)
A welcoming and ambitious primary school in Luton is seeking a Year 2 Teacher to join their team from September. The school is part of a successful academy trust, providing excellent support, shared expertise, and ongoing professional development opportunities for staff.
This role would suit a teacher who is confident delivering the KS1 curriculum and understands the importance of preparing pupils for the transition into Key Stage 2.
Your Responsibilities:
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Year 2 curriculum • Support pupils in achieving their academic and personal potential • Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed classroom environment • Assess and monitor pupil progress, adapting lessons to meet individual needs • Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents
Essential Job Requirements:
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) • Experience teaching within Key Stage 1, ideally Year 2 • Strong understanding of phonics, reading, writing, and mathematics • Excellent classroom management skills • Enthusiastic, organised, and committed approach to teaching
