Academics is proud to be working on behalf of a highly regarded secondary school in Hertfordshire to recruit an enthusiastic and dedicated Teacher of Design & Technology for a permanent position starting in September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and forward-thinking school with a strong commitment to high-quality teaching and learning. The successful candidate will become part of a well-established department with excellent facilities and a collaborative team.
We welcome applications from experienced teachers and Early Career Teachers.
The Role
- Teach Design & Technology across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Opportunity to teach Key Stage 5 for suitable candidates.
- Deliver engaging, practical and inspiring lessons.
- Encourage creativity, innovation and problem-solving within the classroom.
- Contribute to the continued success of the Design & Technology department.
The Ideal Candidate
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Strong subject knowledge within Design & Technology.
- Ability to motivate and inspire students of all abilities.
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
- A commitment to raising achievement and supporting student progress.
- Product Design or Resistant Materials specialism desirable, although all Design & Technology specialists will be considered.
