Are you a qualified English teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity? Tradewind Recruitment is seeking passionate and dedicated professionals to work across a variety of welcoming secondary schools in Folkestone from September through to December 2026 in the first instance.

This is a fantastic chance to gain diverse classroom experience, build connections with local schools, and make a real impact on students' learning during a key part of the academic year.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons in line with the national curriculum
  • Adapt teaching approaches to suit different classroom environments and student needs
  • Mark and assess student work, providing constructive feedback
  • Maintain a positive and productive classroom atmosphere
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Collaborate with school staff to support student progress
  • Ensure safeguarding and wellbeing standards are upheld at all times

What we're looking for:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Strong subject knowledge in English
  • Adaptability and confidence across different school settings
  • A commitment to inspiring and engaging students
  • Hold or be willing to apply for an Enhanced DBS Disclosure, Overseas Police Clearances (if applicable) and professional references
  • Legal Right to Work in the UK
