A welcoming and well-regarded primary school in Ormskirk is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Year 6 Teacher to join their team from September 2026.
This is a full-time position initially offered on a temporary basis, with a strong potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
The Role:
- Full-time teaching responsibility for a Year 6 class
- Delivering engaging and high-quality lessons aligned with the KS2 curriculum
- Preparing pupils for SATs and supporting them through their final year of primary education
- Planning, marking, and assessing in line with school expectations
- Contributing positively to the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching in Upper Key Stage 2, ideally Year 6
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of SATs preparation and assessment
- Be confident in delivering English, Maths, and the wider KS2 curriculum
- Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Be committed, proactive, and passionate about pupil progress and attainment
