Working alongside class teachers and support staff, you will help pupils access the curriculum, build confidence in their abilities, and create a positive and engaging classroom experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Support pupils during lessons to help them remain focused and engaged
- Work with small groups and individual learners to reinforce classroom learning
- Assist the class teacher with the preparation of learning resources and activities
- Encourage positive behaviour and promote a supportive classroom environment
- Help pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
- Support the implementation of learning plans where required
- Contribute to the smooth running of classroom routines and daily activities
Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Positive, patient, and approachable attitude
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to support pupils with a range of learning needs
- Good organisational skills and ability to use initiative
- Passionate about helping children achieve their potential
