Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?
We are working with a welcoming and supportive school in the Tonbridge area who are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant / Learning Support Assistant to join their team.
This role is ideal for someone with experience supporting students with SEN needs and/or delivering interventions, who is passionate about helping pupils make progress both academically and personally.
You will work closely with teachers and the wider support team to provide targeted support, helping students access learning, develop confidence, and achieve their potential.
The role will include:
- Supporting students with SEN within the classroom
- Delivering one-to-one and small group interventions
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning
- Supporting academic progress and personal development
- Working alongside teachers and support staff to create an inclusive environment
The ideal candidate will:
- Have previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN
- Have experience delivering interventions or targeted support
- Be caring, patient, and approachable
- Have excellent communication skills
- Ideally hold a degree, particularly in a core subject (English, Maths, Science) or a Social Science subject (Psychology, Sociology, etc.)
- Be passionate about supporting education and student development
