We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Qualified Teaching Assistant to join our team and help create a positive, engaging, and effective learning environment.

About the Role:

As a Qualified Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting high-quality teaching and learning across the classroom. This full-time position is ideal for someone passionate about education, confident in delivering structured support, and equipped with the knowledge and training gained through a Level 2 or 3 TA qualification. You will work closely with teachers to deliver targeted interventions, support whole-class learning, and promote pupil progress.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the class teacher in delivering engaging, effective, and differentiated lessons
  • Prepare classroom resources, learning materials, and activity setups
  • Deliver small-group and one-to-one interventions to support pupils’ academic and social progress
  • Provide support for students with additional learning needs or EHCPs
  • Supervise pupils during lessons, playtimes, group work, and transitions
  • Assist with assessments, observations, and maintaining accurate records
  • Encourage positive behaviour and contribute to a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment

Requirements:

  • Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths (essential)
  • Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (essential)
  • Proven experience working as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational setting (desirable)
  • Strong understanding of child development and teaching strategies
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to use initiative
  • First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Additional training in SEN, safeguarding, or behaviour support (preferred)

Working Conditions:

  • Full-time or part-time hours available
  • Classroom-based role working closely with young children
  • May include physical tasks such as setting up equipment or supporting active play
