SEN Teaching Assistants
Prospero Teaching are seeking experienced and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join a 'Good' Ofsted-rated Special Educational Needs School located in the Blandford area.
The school provides specialist education and care for pupils aged 7-19 years with Complex Learning Difficulties & Associated Needs, including:
- Autism (ASD)
- Speech & Language Disorders
- Challenging Behaviour
You will be joining a committed and nurturing team who work together to ensure every pupil can excel within a supportive, pupil-centred environment.
Role Details:
- Location: Blandford, Dorset
- Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
- Type of Work: Supporting students with Autism & Learning Difficulties
- Start Date: September 2026
- Contract: Temporary/Permanent
- Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
- Pay Rate: From GBP102.62 per day
Experience, Training & Qualifications:
- Previous TA experience is preferred, ideally within SEN, but not essential if you have the right attitude and passion.
- A genuine interest in supporting children with ASD, Aspergers and Complex Needs.
- Proactive, positive, energetic, and confident engaging in classroom activities.
- Willingness to undertake personal care responsibilities when required.
Eligibility Requirements:
- Right to Work in the UK.
- Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Two professional, child-related references. (Min.)
