Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our friendly and supportive primary school team from September 2026.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is passionate about supporting children's learning and development. The successful candidate will work across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils to achieve their full potential and helping to create a positive and engaging learning environment.
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience of working with primary-aged children.

Is able to support learning across both KS1 and KS2.

Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Can work effectively with individuals, small groups and whole classes under the direction of the class teacher.

Demonstrates patience, flexibility and a positive attitude.

Is committed to supporting the academic, social and emotional development of all pupils.

Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to school life.

Has a good understanding of safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities.
The role will include:

Supporting teaching and learning in the classroom.

Working with pupils individually and in small groups.

Assisting teachers in delivering engaging learning activities.

Supporting pupils with varying learning needs.

Helping to prepare classroom resources and learning environments.
-
Promoting positive behaviour and pupil wellbeing.

Contributing to the wider life of the school community.
