Location: Cranborne, Dorset
Salary: £22,996 – £25,068 (Plus £1000 Welcome Bonus*)
Hours: 8am – 4:30pm
Contract: Permanent, Full Time, Term Time Only
About the School
We are proud to be working with a college for 16-25year olds with ADHD, ASC, MLD and SEMH needs who are focused on preparing their students for adult life through academic and vocational study programmes, aiming to increase their resilience, emotional intelligence, confidence, self-esteem and well-being, leading them to successful futures.
The Role
As a Teaching Assistant, your role is to support the students and help them develop in a safe and caring learning environment. Flexibility is key in this role, you may need to work 1:1 with students or in small groups as required.
You will:
- Support the learning and independence of their students.
- Contribute o planning, implementation and evaluation of education programmes, plans and reports as required.
- Contribute to assessing, recording and reporting on young peoples' progress.
- Promote and encourage independence at all times.
- Keep records accurate and up-to-date.
- Promote the development of positive social behaviours and self-regulation skills
- Ensure safeguarding and health and safety procedures are followed at all times.
What We’re Looking For
Minimum age of 21
Full UK driving licence and access to your own car
Level 2 or equivalent in Maths and English
Be able to be positive and creative in meeting young person's needs
Be able to work on your own as well as in a team
Good numeracy and literacy skills
Competent ICT skills
Experience is not essential!
