Tradewind Recruitment is working with a high-achieving secondary school in Kensington and Chelsea to recruit an enthusiastic Religious Education graduate for an Academic Teaching Assistant role from September.
This opportunity is ideal for a graduate seeking school-based experience before progressing into teacher training or education careers. You will work as a Teaching Assistant supporting learning across RE and humanities subjects, helping students at Key Stages 3 and 4 to raise attainment and engagement in a supportive secondary school environment in Kensington and Chelsea.
Important: Applicants must hold a degree in Religious Education, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics, or a closely related subject. Full-time availability for the entire academic year (Sept 2026 – July 2027) is essential. Applications not meeting this requirement will not be considered.

Key Responsibilities
Support learning in RE and humanities lessons Deliver 1:1 and small group interventions Assist teachers with lesson preparation and classroom delivery Support students of varying abilities to achieve targets Promote positive behaviour and engagement Assist with revision and exam preparation Track and feedback on student progress where required
Candidate Requirements
Essential:
Degree in RE, Religious Studies, Theology, Philosophy, Ethics or related subject Strong communication skills Passion for education and working with young people Full-time availability Sept 2026 – July 2027 Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply)
Desirable:
School, tutoring, mentoring or youth experience Interest in teacher training or education careers
