Teaching Assistant A supportive and inclusive secondary school in Ealing is seeking a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join its student support team from September.
This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a well-established school in Ealing with a strong reputation for pastoral care and inclusive education. The successful Teaching Assistant will work closely with teaching staff to support students in the classroom, helping them engage with learning and make meaningful academic progress.
You will be working with SEN students, including those with autism (ASD), ADHD, speech and language needs, and moderate learning difficulties (MLD). The role will involve supporting learning both in-class and through targeted small group or one-to-one interventions, helping to create a calm, structured, and positive learning environment in Ealing. Candidates who have prior experience supporting SEN students, particularly those with ASD, ADHD, or communication needs, and who can demonstrate confidence in working with children and young people, may be considered for a higher rate of pay.
Responsibilities Support students within lessons to help them access the curriculum effectively Deliver targeted support to individuals and small groups to reinforce learning Work closely with SEN students, including those with ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and MLD Assist teaching staff with lesson preparation and classroom organisation Promote a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
Requirements Experience working with children or young people is desirable Previous experience supporting SEN students is an advantage Good communication and interpersonal skills Patient, adaptable, and proactive approach Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff
