Pay: £14.63 per hour
About the Role
We are currently seeking a motivated and reliable Key Stage 1 (KS1) Teaching Assistant (TA2) to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Burnley from September 2026.
This is an excellent opportunity to support pupils in Years 1 and 2, helping to create a positive learning environment where all children can thrive and achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons across the KS1 curriculum
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and support progress
- Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and early maths activities
- Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials
- Encourage positive behaviour and support pupils’ social and emotional development
- Provide additional support for pupils with SEND where required
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Experience working in a KS1 or primary school setting
- A recognised TA2 qualification (or equivalent)
- Good understanding of the KS1 curriculum and phonics schemes
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A patient, proactive, and supportive approach
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
