About the Role
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to support primary schools across the Wirral. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners’ development while gaining valuable experience in a supportive educational environment.
You will work alongside class teachers to help create a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning atmosphere, supporting children both in groups and on a one-to-one basis.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to pupils
- Support children with additional learning needs (SEN experience desirable)
- Help maintain a safe and positive classroom environment
- Prepare classroom materials and resources
- Encourage pupil participation and confidence
What We’re Looking For
- A passion for working with children in a primary setting
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or with children (preferred but not essential)
- A positive, patient, and proactive attitude
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Relevant qualifications (e.g. Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are advantageous
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
