Current Vacancies1:1 Teaching Assistant – Reception

Hours: Full-time, term time only

Start Date: September 2026

We are looking for a patient and proactive Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child entering Reception with a diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).

The successful candidate will:

  • Build positive and trusting relationships with the child.
  • Support communication, social interaction and emotional regulation.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENDCo and external professionals.
  • Adapt learning activities to meet the child's individual needs.
  • Promote independence and inclusion within the classroom environment.

1:1 Teaching Assistant – Year 1

Hours: Full-time, term time only

Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking an energetic, resilient and committed Teaching Assistant to support a child entering Year 1 with ASD.

The child is highly active and can be a "runner" when dysregulated, therefore applicants must be vigilant, physically active and able to confidently respond to situations where the child may attempt to leave the classroom or designated learning area.

The successful candidate will:

  • Provide consistent 1:1 support throughout the school day.
  • Implement behaviour and support strategies as directed by the SENDCo and teaching staff.
  • Build a positive and nurturing relationship with the child.
  • Ensure the child's safety whilst promoting independence and engagement.
  • Remain calm and professional in challenging situations.

1:2 Teaching Assistants – Year 6

Hours: Full-time, term time only

Start Date: September 2026

We are recruiting two Teaching Assistants to provide support for two Year 6 girls who are currently working academically at approximately Year 1 level.

These roles will involve delivering targeted interventions, adapting learning materials and supporting the pupils to access the curriculum whilst promoting confidence, independence and progress.

The successful candidates will:

  • Have experience supporting pupils with additional learning needs.
  • Be confident in delivering highly differentiated learning activities.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
  • Support literacy and numeracy development through structured interventions.
  • Be patient, caring and committed to helping children succeed.

We Are Looking For Individuals Who:

  • Have experience working with children in a school or educational setting.
  • Have knowledge of SEND, particularly Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
  • Are reliable, flexible and committed to safeguarding children.
  • Can work successfully as part of a wider school team.
  • Hold a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential).
