Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am – 3:00pm (1-hour unpaid lunch break)
Pay Rate: £14.63 per hour
Start Date: ASAP

About the Role
We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Leyland area, supporting pupils within a Year 1 class.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about helping young children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to provide classroom support, assist with learning activities, and help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
There is also the possibility that this role could lead to a direct contract with the school for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons and activities.
- Work with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and development.
- Help maintain a positive, safe, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation.
- Support pupils with their emotional, social, and educational needs.
- Encourage positive behaviour and engagement in learning.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with primary-aged children, ideally within KS1.
- A caring, patient, and proactive attitude.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff.
- A genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
- Relevant educational qualifications or teaching assistant experience (desirable but not essential).
