Prospero Teaching is currently seeking enthusiastic and reliable Teaching Assistants and Supply Cover Staff to work on a daily supply basis across a range of welcoming and supportive primary schools in East London.
Daily supply offers the flexibility to choose when and where you work, making it an excellent opportunity for experienced support staff, graduates looking to gain classroom experience, or education professionals seeking a better work-life balance.
We work with a variety of schools, including mainstream primary schools, SEND settings, and schools that follow creative and child-centred approaches to learning. Successful candidates will have the opportunity to support pupils across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, assisting with classroom activities, small group interventions, and one-to-one support where required.

CONTRACT/POSITION DETAILS
- Location – East London
- Position – Daily Supply Teaching Assistant / Supply Cover Staff
- Type of work – Classroom support, intervention groups, 1:1 support, SEND support, general classroom assistance, and cover supervision where required
- Contract or position start date – September 2026
- Duration / Likely Duration – Ongoing
- Contract type (temp/perm/temp to perm) – Temporary Supply
- Full time/part time – Flexible
- Rate of pay – £100 – £130 per day (dependent on experience and role)
- Hours – Typically 8:30am – 4:00pm, Monday to Friday (term time only)
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience working with children is desirable
- Experience within a UK school setting is advantageous
- A Teaching Assistant qualification is desirable but not essential
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training issued within the last year is preferred
- Graduates considering a career in education are encouraged to apply
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child-related references that cover at least the last two years
