About the Role
We are currently recruiting dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work across a range of welcoming and supportive schools throughout the Wirral.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about supporting children’s learning and development. Roles are available across EYFS, KS1, and KS2, including general classroom support and 1:1 SEN support positions.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to support learning
- Provide additional support to pupils with SEND where required
- Help create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment
- Assist with classroom preparation and organisation of resources
- Support behaviour management in line with school policies
- Monitor and report pupil progress to teaching staff
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
- Experience working with children in a school or childcare setting
- A patient, caring, and proactive approach
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- A passion for supporting pupils’ progress and wellbeing
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection
Desirable
- Teaching Assistant qualification (Level 2 or Level 3)
- Experience supporting pupils with SEND (e.g. autism, ADHD, SEMH)
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum
