Our client is a growing, well established SME organisation, and an industrial manufacturing leader in its bespoke industry.
Description
The primary purpose of this role is to provide technical support to all product lines, supporting the global network, and contributing to the successful delivery of key strategic projects for the business unit.
This role is responsible for managing modifier relationships, ensuring technical capability, driving performance, and feeding market insights back into product development to support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
·Manage and respond to technical queries.
· Manage a smaall team and then grow it.
· Lead all product management, technical projects and engineering programmes related to the position and its department.
· Manage and develop strong relationships with licensed sector modifiers to ensure technical capability, quality, and consistent performance.
· Monitor modifier performance, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and uphold adherence to operational and compliance requirements.
· Deliver technical guidance, training, and best-practice support to enhance modifier efficiency and capability.
· Oversee and support all global product modifiers, ensuring they operate in compliance with company standards
· Maintain and manage legal agreements, renewals, and documentation for all modifiers.
· Ensure all modifiers are equipped with the correct jigs, fixtures, and tools for compliant enclosure modification.
· Develop, oversee, and coordinate training materials and programs to ensure technical competence and certification of all modifiers.
· Monitor and audit modifier performance, including quality, turnaround time, and compliance metrics.
· Collaborate with Product Management to feedback application limitations and opportunities for innovation.

Profile
· Engineering degree preferred but not essential
· A proven Technical Manager, Product Manager or Project Engieering Manager in manufacturing
· Ability to manage a small team of this nature and grow it.
· A proven track record in an industrial manufacturing environment in in one of these roles or similar.
· Proven experience in technical partner management, engineering leadership, or product support roles
· Strong understanding of hazardous area equipment, manufactured products or engineered parts
· Experience with global partner networks and cross-cultural communication
· Ability to interpret technical drawings and compliance documentation
· Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills
· Willingness to travel internationally as required
· Experience will be considered in lieu of engineering degree, or equivalent experience.
Job Offer
£50,000 to £60,000 plus benefits
