Technical Services & Calibration Engineer

Location:, Kent (Hybrid with Quarterly International Travel)

Salary negotiable subject to experience

R3vamp have teamed up with a growing provider of scientific instrumentation, calibration services and technical support solutions. They partner with leading manufacturers to deliver installation, servicing, maintenance, calibration and training to laboratories operating within the pharmaceutical, food & beverage, education, oil & gas, environmental and research sectors.

Please note: This role requires quarterly business travel (approximately one week every quarter) to support customer projects, train local engineers and assist with technical operations. Applicants must be willing and able to undertake regular international travel.

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

· Installing, commissioning and validating scientific laboratory instrumentation.

· Performing preventative maintenance, servicing and calibration.

· Diagnosing and repairing electrical, mechanical and software faults.

· Delivering customer training on laboratory equipment.

· Providing technical support both remotely and on-site.

· Attending manufacturer training program's in Europe and online.

· Supporting laboratory setup projects and customers working towards ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation.

· Assisting with operational projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Requirements

· Degree or HND in Engineering, Chemistry, Physics or a related scientific discipline.

· Minimum 3–5 years' experience servicing analytical laboratory instrumentation.

· Experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, FTIR, spectroscopy or similar laboratory equipment would be highly desirable.

· Experience installing, commissioning and maintaining laboratory equipment.

· Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

· Delivering customer training.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Full UK driving license.

· Right to work in the UK.

· Valid passport (or ability to obtain one).

Desirable

· ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory experience.

· Experience working in GMP/GLP environments.

· Materials testing equipment experience.

· Laboratory setup and validation experience.
