Robertson Bell is pleased to be partnering with an established organisation in Stratford-upon-Avon to recruit a Temporary Finance Manager on an initial three-month contract, with a strong likelihood of extension.
This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional who enjoys combining hands-on transactional oversight with process improvement and operational support. Joining during a busy period, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of the finance function while helping to drive efficiencies across the team.
The key responsibilities will include:
- Supervising a small transactional finance team comprising Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable staff.
- Overseeing month-end activities, including reconciliations and payment runs.
- Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions and controls.
- Identifying process inefficiencies and supporting the implementation of improvements and automation initiatives.
- Working closely with the Financial Operations Manager to streamline workflows and improve operational effectiveness.
- Monitoring workloads and proactively highlighting areas requiring additional support or resource.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a finance role covering month-end processes, reconciliations and transactional finance.
- Strong Excel skills, including experience with functions such as VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with a genuine interest in improving processes.
- An understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and core accounting principles.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a close-knit team.
