Hays Education are currently recruiting for a School Administrator to join a welcoming school in Middlesbrough on a full-time temporary basis for an initial period of approximately three months.
This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive administrator to support the smooth day-to-day running of a busy school office.
The successful candidate will provide high-quality administrative support and act as a key point of contact for staff, pupils, parents, and visitors.
The Role
- Providing general administrative support within the school office.
- Managing emails, telephone enquiries, and visitor reception duties.
- Maintaining accurate pupil records and attendance information.
- Supporting with data entry, filing, and document management.
- Assisting with admissions, communications, and other school administration tasks.
- Working closely with senior leaders and wider school staff to ensure efficient office operations.
The Ideal Candidate
Previous administration experience is essential
Previous school-based administration experience is desirable
Experience using school management systems such as SIMS, Arbor, or Bromcom would be advantageous
Excellent communication and organisational skills
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
