School Receptionist – Alternative Provision

We are working with a welcoming Alternative Provision school in Newcastle seeking a reliable and professional School Receptionist to join the school team on a full-time basis with an immediate start.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an organised and personable individual to play a key role as the first point of contact for pupils, staff, and visitors, with the potential for the role to become permanent.
The Role:
- Managing the school reception area and being the first point of contact
- Handling incoming calls, emails, and visitor enquiries
- Supporting administrative tasks across the school
- Maintaining accurate records and safeguarding procedures
- Providing general support to staff and the wider school community
The Ideal Candidate:
- Previous reception or administrative experience (school-based desirable)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Organised, efficient, and able to work under pressure
- Professional, friendly, and approachable manner
- A strong understanding of safeguarding (or willingness to learn)
