A well-established engineering business specialising in automated test solutions is seeking an experienced Test Development Engineer to join its growing technical team.
This role focuses on the design, development, and delivery of Automated Test Equipment (ATE) systems used to validate complex electronic products across a range of highly regulated industries.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop automated test solutions for electronic systems
- Design and build test fixtures to support functional test applications
- Develop, debug, and maintain test software using LabVIEW and TestStand
- Support hardware design activities including analogue and digital circuit design for test systems and fixtures
- Commission and deploy test systems at customer sites (UK and occasional international travel)
- Provide technical support during integration, commissioning, and post-delivery phases
- Maintain clear and accurate project documentation
Requirements:
- Degree, HNC, or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years' experience in test development engineering, ideally within ATE environments
- Strong experience with LabVIEW and TestStand
- Experience with analogue and digital electronic design (hardware), ideally within test or validation environments
- Familiarity with test instrumentation such as PXI/LXI systems, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analysers
- Eligible for security clearance (or ability to obtain)
