Elevation Recruitment are working on behalf of a Rotherham-based manufacturer to recruit a toolmaker to join their team

Shift: Mornings & Afternoons 
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum
Location: Rotherham

Responsibilities

• Oversee Tool Room activity to maintain a consistent supply of rolls to production.
• Plan workloads and coordinate operations to meet required deadlines.
• Produce and inspect rolls, ensuring accuracy and quality standards are met.
• Create CAD drawings to support roll design and evaluation work.
• Improve and refine roll-manufacturing processes.
• Manage equipment use, raw materials, and consumables to support efficient output.
• Support roll supply to other group sites when required.
• Attend operational meetings and maintain compliance with safety procedures.
• Operate machinery, including Mazak CNC lathes, and carry out routine maintenance.
• Undertake additional duties aligned with operational needs.

Requirements

• Strong background in toolmaking or precision engineering.
• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship.
• Understanding of Health & Safety and environmental responsibilities.
• Hands-on, flexible approach with a strong team ethic.
• Practical problem-solver with a solutions-focused mindset.
• Confident enforcing standards and maintaining safe working practices.
• Clear communicator across different functions.
• Takes ownership and follows tasks through to completion.
