My client is a firmly established SME manufacturing company focused on the supply of metal-based components across a range of sectors. They are seeking a Toolroom Improver to join their existing team. As a Toolroom Improver, you will be focusing on maintaining the tools to support production areas and NPI projects.
Toolroom Improver Responsibilities:
– Support the development of new tools and modify existing tooling
– Surface grind to tight tolerances
– Monitor the tool usage and performance across production
– Fit, trial and modify new tooling for presses
– Maintain, repair and rebuild tools
– Use precision measurement tools such as vernier callipers and micrometres
Toolroom Improver Requirements:
– Previous experience working in a Toolroom
– Experience in servicing and repairing progression tools
– Experience in CNC and EDM machining would be advantageous
– Must be able to work to tight tolerances
– Must be able to work to engineering drawings
