Ruby Energy
The National TPI Manager is responsible for leading and growing Ruby Energy's Third Party Intermediary (TPI) channel across the UK. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on business development, taking ownership of broker acquisition, broker performance, commercial partnerships and revenue growth.
The successful candidate will lead a team of TPI Performance Managers whilst personally developing new broker relationships, securing strategic partnerships and managing key national accounts. They will act as the senior commercial representative for Ruby Energy within the broker market and play a key role in shaping future broker strategy, propositions and commercial success.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Lead, coach and develop the TPI Performance Manager team.
- Set clear objectives, KPIs and development plans.
- Drive a high-performance culture built around accountability and customer service.
- Recruit, mentor and retain top talent within the TPI function.
Business Development
- Personally identify, prospect and secure new TPI partnerships.
- Manage a portfolio of high-value strategic broker accounts.
- Attend broker meetings, networking events and industry exhibitions.
- Negotiate commercial agreements and commission structures.
- Represent Ruby Energy as the face of the broker channel.
Commercial Responsibilities
- Own the commercial performance of the TPI division.
- Deliver revenue, margin and growth targets.
- Analyse market trends and competitor activity.
- Work with Pricing and Sales Leadership to develop competitive broker propositions.
- Prepare forecasts and performance reports for senior leadership.
Relationship Management
- Build long-term partnerships with brokers.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews.
- Resolve escalated broker issues.
- Increase broker engagement and loyalty.
Cross Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Pricing, Operations, Compliance, Finance, Marketing, Customer Experience and COT & Retention teams to deliver an outstanding broker experience.
Experience Required
Essential
- Extensive experience within the UK commercial energy industry.
- Proven success managing or developing TPI/Broker channels.
- Strong track record of winning new business.
- Experience leading successful sales or account management teams.
- Excellent commercial negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel.
Desirable
- Experience managing national broker accounts.
- Knowledge of pricing strategy and energy procurement.
- Advanced Excel/CRM/MI reporting skills.
