We are seeking an trading operations analyst to support our robust trading business. The role will interact and assist with all aspects of our business: senior management, traders, and software engineers. The responsibilities of the position include performing data analysis, liaising with clearing firms and exchanges, and supporting the day-to-day trading activities of the firm. 4170 fosters an environment centered on both individual and team success, and we look to this individual to advance our operational processes by driving improvement initiatives from start to finish. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Reports to COO (Chief Operating officer)
- Provide assistance in trade capture for all products related to the firm’s activity
- Maintenance of internal systems that support trading activity
- Supports various functions of the organization such as trading, accounting and risk
- Provides support on quarterly and annual reporting requirements for tax
- With minimal supervision, complete tasks as they are assigned and ensure accuracy and timeliness
- Cooperate with, participate in, and support the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices
- Research and design analytical tools to be integrated into daily procedures
What We’re Looking For:
- 1 to 3 years of experience in detail-oriented role in the financial markets industry, ideally in a front office, middle office, back office, or risk management capacity
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or another quantitative field
- Strong MS Excel background required
- Experience with Python required
- Demonstrates effective adaptability to new and emerging technologies
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Problem solver with superior analytical and reconciliation skills
- Comfort working in time sensitive situations, pushing for quick and complete resolution to stake holders
- Capable of handling multiple tasks/projects simultaneously
- Self-starter with a strong desire to make processes more efficient
- Strong understanding of futures, options, treasuries, equities
