Michael Page are delighted to partner with a multi-site organisation to appoint for a Training Manager to join a busy HR team.
This role can offer hybrid working – circa 4 days onsite and 1 home
The role will be Nottingham based with occasional travel (circa 1/month to other sites UK wide)
Description
Reporting to a Head of HR and working closely with both operational and HR stakeholders, the role of Training Manager will take full responsibility for the full L&D life-cycle for a wide range of industrial/front-line stakeholders.
You will be responsible for all operational, technical, compliance training including health & safety as well as management and leadership development.
This busy and varied role will include but not limited to:
- Develop a training strategy aligned to safety, legal compliance, operational performance, customer service and growth.
- Maintain the company training matrix
- Work with operations, SHEQ, HR and functional leaders to establish training needs
- Maintain accurate training records to support with workforce planning and succession planning
- Set role-based competence standards and practical sign-off for critical roles
- Strengthen on-boarding training programs
- Measure and evaluate training impacts
- Design and deliver management and leadership training
- Lead early careers activity, including apprenticeships, vocational pathways and provider relationships
Profile
Ideal applicants for this role will have proven experiences in a similar Training Manager/L&D role within a relevant industrial sector such as manufacturing/logistics or other operational/industrial/high-risk settings
Job Offer
- Competitive salary up to £55000 pa
- Car Allowance circa £4800 pa
- Bonus up to 10%
- Hybrid working
