Evestigio Ltd
Transformation Director (CIO / CTO).
The Opportunity
We are partnering with a global leader in household consumer products to appoint a Transformation Director. This critical enterprise leadership role is appropriate – for an elite technology executive with a proven CIO or CTO track record.
Operating as the primary execution partner to the newly appointed Chief Artificial Intelligence Officer (CAIO), you will lead the structural, architectural, and operational overhaul required to embed advanced AI across a multi-billion-pound global business network. You will directly manage a high-performing technical leadership team – including the Head of Data – to drive Business Process Reengineering (BPR), manage internal and client-side change, and secure a sustainable global competitive advantage.
The 6 Pillars of the Mandate
To successfully execute this transformation, the Transformation Director must possess a background defined by 6 Core Fundamentals:
1. Tech Strategy: Crafting and evolving the overarching technological runway that supports the CAIO’s vision, shifting the business from legacy setups to modern, AI-ready frameworks.
2. Delivery Excellence: Championing structural execution using rigorous Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) methodologies to guarantee on-time, high-impact deployments.
3. Organisation Leadership: Empowering, structuring, and upskilling a global technology footprint, bridging the "AI Learning Gap" across cross-functional business units.
4. Commercial Acumen: Managing complex technology investments, driving Build vs. Buy options, and proving tangible ROI indicators to the executive board.
5. Domain Expertise: Bringing deep operational knowledge of fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) or highly distributed worldwide supply chains and product lifecycles.
6. Technical Depth: Possessing a robust understanding of modern data architectures, advanced analytics, cloud scalability, and GenAI/LLM integration complexities.
Key Responsibilities & Focus Areas
Working in tandem with the CAIO, you will own the technical architecture and change management engine. You must be highly comfortable leading across four critical dimensions:
- Managing Change: Deconstructing complex technical and cultural shifts into predictable milestones. You will guide internal teams and global clients through intense technological shifts.
- Collaborative Leadership: Navigating a matrixed CXO ecosystem. You will align environment, vision, and operational resources while collaborating closely with Business Intelligence, Marketing, and ESG/CSR units.
- AI Adoption: Operationalising advanced AI frameworks, ensuring machine learning models move out of sandbox environments and into live, localized exploitation.
- Business Continuity Planning: Securing the core business. You will insulate the global estate against operational risks, technical debt, and system failures during high-velocity deployments.
The Candidate Profile
We are seeking a seasoned CXO-level technologist who combines world-class program execution with boardroom fluency.
- Experience: Proven tenure as a CIO, CTO, or Global IT Transformation Director within a complex FMCG, retail, or distributed global enterprise.
- Execution Mastery: Expert-level command of WBS, risk mitigation frameworks, and large-scale, tech-driven business model redesigns.
- Commercial Fluency: Success in leveraging technology to drive global client engagement, retention, and business development across global markets.
With an experimental mindset, you may hold valuable experience gained from:
