Transformation Programme Support (HR Change)
Contract Type: 6-month contract
Location: New Scotland Yard, London (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)
Day Rate: £337 (PAYE) / £440 (Umbrella)
The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced HR Change Delivery Manager to support the delivery of large-scale transformation programmes within a complex, high-profile organisation.
This role is ideal for someone who has worked within structured transformation or programme environments, supporting the delivery of workforce change initiatives rather than leading them end-to-end. You will play a key role in coordinating HR change activity across multiple workstreams, ensuring delivery is aligned, organised, and achieved to time and quality expectations.
This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-impact transformation programmes, working closely with senior stakeholders while remaining hands-on in delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the delivery of HR and workforce change activity across multiple programme workstreams
- Coordinate and track progress against plans, ensuring timelines, risks, and dependencies are actively managed
- Assist in the delivery of workforce change processes, including organisational restructures, redeployment, redundancy, and related activities
- Maintain programme documentation, including trackers, reporting packs, and governance materials
- Work closely with HR teams and programme leads to ensure a consistent and structured approach to change delivery
- Identify risks, issues, and dependencies, and support mitigation planning
- Provide practical guidance to managers on the implementation of change processes and policies
- Build effective working relationships with HR colleagues, operational leaders, and employee representatives
- Contribute to continuous improvement of HR change processes and delivery frameworks
About You
We are particularly interested in candidates who bring a programme delivery mindset with exposure to HR transformation, rather than those who have led large-scale HR change as a senior leader.
Essential Experience
- Experience working within transformation programmes, PMO, or project delivery environments
- Exposure to HR or workforce change initiatives, ideally within a large, complex organisation
- Experience supporting workforce change activities such as:
- Organisational restructures
- Redeployment / redundancy programmes
- TUPE or similar processes
- Experience coordinating workstreams, maintaining RAID logs, trackers, and reporting
- Strong understanding of working within structured project or programme governance frameworks
Skills & Capabilities
- Strong organisational and coordination skills, with a hands-on delivery focus
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Confident working with a range of stakeholders, including HR teams and senior managers
- Good understanding of employment legislation in the context of change programmes
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret and present people data
- Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint
- Collaborative, adaptable, and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ideal Backgrounds
This role would suit candidates from backgrounds such as:
- Programme or Project Managers with HR transformation exposure
- PMO Analysts or Change Analysts involved in workforce change delivery
- HR professionals who have worked within structured transformation environments
