Transport Planner & Warehouse Administrator
Location: Leeming Bar
Salary: £32,793 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday 08:30am – 5:00pm

Imperial Recruitment Group are working with a large manufacturer based in Leeming Bar who are looking to appoint a Transport Planner and Warehouse Administrator on a full-time permanent basis
Summary:
Play a key role in planning and moving goods to customer delivery-points. You are an enthusiastic individual who will thrive in a fast-paced, progressive and expanding Transport Team
Duties:
Receive, process and monitor orders via EDI as required;
Manually input orders from customers as required;
Allocate and arrange haulage for orders through directly managed fleet, 3PL providers and ex-works partners;
Work within agreed cost parameters when allocating haulage;
Assist with the scheduling of loads and/or collections and completion of a booking in schedule
Process and print dispatch notes;
Liaise with shift managers and other team members to ensure the timely loading and turnaround of vehicles;
Obtain proof of deliveries of deliveries as required;
Liaise with customers to assign haulage, arrange collections and confirm delivery slots, as required;
Support with the preparation and control of customs paperwork and export documentation for outbound goods shipments, liaising with transport providers and the operational warehouse teams to collate the relevant information in an accurate and timely manner
Ensure that all Company ‘Health and Safety’ standards, protocols and procedures are adhered to at all times and always working in a ‘Health and Safety’ conscious manner.
Requirements:
Ability to follow instruction.
Good verbal communication skills.
Excellent IT literacy and high level of proficiency with CPMS/WMS systems and Microsoft Word/Excel is essential.
Recent relevant experience is essential, ideally a minimum of 3 year’s recent experience in a Transport Planning role and in FMCG or other fast-moving consumer goods environments.
IT literacy and proficiency with SAP and WMS systems is preferred.
