Transport Planner
Location: Brentwood
Salary: £50,000+ DOE

A growing logistics business specialising in retail distribution is seeking an experienced Transport Planner to join its operations team. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing fleet operation and play a key role in coordinating deliveries across the UK.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and coordinate daily vehicle deliveries across the UK.
- Manage incoming delivery schedules and organise transport from run sheets and operational reports.
- Coordinate inbound deliveries from European suppliers and arrange onward distribution to retail locations nationwide.
- Book delivery slots through customer portals and internal systems.
- Liaise with customers to schedule deliveries and resolve any planning issues.
- Monitor vehicle movements and ensure efficient route planning.
- Work closely with the operations team to maximise fleet utilisation and service levels.
- Support a growing transport operation with opportunities to develop alongside the business.
Requirements
- Previous experience in Transport Planning, Logistics Coordination or Distribution.
- CPC qualification is REQUIRED (ESSENTIAL)
- Strong understanding of transport compliance, fleet operations, driver regulations and industry legislation.
- Excellent knowledge of UK geography and transport routes.
- Proficient in Excel and transport management systems.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
