Summary: Night Transport Supervisor Mon- Fri nights We are looking for a proactive and motivated Night Shift Transport Supervisor to join our transport operation in Ashby. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced transport professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys taking ownership of the night operation. You will be responsible for coordinating and supervising all aspects of the traffic operation, ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and in line with customer expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage and coordinate the night transport operation · Monitor vehicle movements and respond to any issues or delays · Ensure all transport activities comply with legal, safety, and company requirements · Liaise with drivers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure service levels are achieved · Manage driver debriefs and resolve any operational issues · Ensure accurate completion of transport documentation and system updates · Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives · Provide leadership and support to drivers and operational teams throughout the shift
Key Skills/Experience:
· Previous experience within a transport supervisory role · Strong understanding of transport operations · Knowledge of driver regulations and transport compliance · Experience working within a fast-paced distribution environment · Strong organisational and problem-solving skills · Good IT skills and experience using transport management systems · Ability to prioritise workloads and make decisions under pressure
