US Senior Property Broker (Open Market)

Role Overview: The purpose of this role is to lead the broking and placement of North American Property risks into the London Market, with a focus on open market business. It involves building and leveraging relationships with brokers, clients, and underwriters, structuring and negotiating complex and large risk placements, and supporting the broader development of the company's Property offerings. The role is integral to the company's growth strategy, fostering collaboration across various specialty lines and expanding its market presence.
Key Skills & Experience: • Strong experience within North American Property insurance, preferably within the London Market • Proven track record in open market placements and handling complex risks • Established network with brokers, clients, and/or underwriters • Excellent negotiation and relationship management skills • Commercially astute with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities
Key Responsibilities: • Broking and placement of North American Property risks into the London Market, emphasizing open market transactions • Developing and maintaining relationships with retail brokers, clients, and underwriters • Structuring and negotiating placements for large and complex risks • Supporting growth and development of the wider Property portfolio • Collaborating with internal teams across specialty lines to maximize cross-selling opportunities • Identifying, originating, and expanding business opportunities to generate revenue
Requirements: • Right to work in the UK • Significant experience in North American Property insurance and open market placements • Established professional network within the industry • Ability to operate on-site in a hybrid working environment
