Van Driver (Electric & Automatic) Birmingham
People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Van Driver based in Birmingham. This is a fantastic opportunity offering excellent rates of pay, ongoing work, and genuine potential for progression.
This position is ideal for applicants looking for a role as a Van Driver, Truck Driver or Delivery Driver.
Shifts: Monday to Saturday (5 from 6 and every Saturday) – start times between 05:30 and 06:30
Rates of Pay: £14.75 per hour (overtime at £19.62)

Day-to-Day Duties
• Carry out multi-drop deliveries (30-40) mainly in villages and towns • Load and unload boxes and packages • Load the vehicle for the following day’s routes • Ensure all loads are safe and secure • Complete vehicle inspections and report faults • Operate a 3.5 tonne electric refrigerated van safely and efficiently • Maintain accurate delivery records and paperwork • Communicate effectively with staff at delivery locations • Monitor and maintain correct refrigeration unit temperatures
Essential Skills
• Previous multi-drop experience (essential) • Valid UK Category B Driving Licence held for at least two years • Strong knowledge of vehicle operation and driving regulations • Effective written and verbal communication skills • Ability to identify and report vehicle safety issues • Good understanding of road networks and navigational tools • Ability to work to tight deadlines and use own initiative
Desirable Experience
• Experience driving commercial vehicles
Training Provided
• Vehicle maintenance and safety training • Compliance and regulatory training
