Van Driver role at Bodelwyddan Brakes
Monday – Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays
6am starts
Salary: £35,565

You’ll start with a thorough induction – then you'll be providing our customers a friendly totally dedicated delivery service of food orders taking care to resolve any issues along the way. It's a vital role, and it can be hard work, but a Brakes Van Driver makes it look easy!
You'll need to pay attention for accurately picking on vehicle and delivery of customer orders and maintaining product temperatures in a multi-temperature controlled vehicle. You'll need awareness of Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) Compliance to ensure your vehicle checks are completed to a high standard to ensure roadworthiness. The role includes manual handling of our food produce to the customers premises so you will need to comply with Health and Safety (SSOW), hygiene and other related legislation.
You'll require a full drivers licence and extensive road knowledge of our local area. As our 3.5t Van Driver you'll use your strong communication and teamwork skills, knowledge and initiative to solve basic problems and make routine decisions. If you have the ambition to become a HGV2 driver in the future we'd be happy to support you through our driver development programme.
