VAT Director / Senior Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced VAT Director or ambitious Senior Manager looking to take the next step in their career. Joining a growing and highly regarded Indirect Tax team, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality VAT advisory and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of corporate clients across a wide range of sectors.

The Role
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied portfolio of VAT advisory and compliance clients.
- Providing clear, practical and commercially focused VAT advice.
- Liaising with HMRC on technical matters, enquiries and disputes.
- Supporting transactions including acquisitions, disposals, restructures and due diligence projects.
- Advising clients on complex VAT issues and negotiating practical solutions.
- Supporting business development by identifying new opportunities and preparing proposals.
- Delivering VAT training to colleagues and clients.
- Mentoring, managing and developing junior team members.
About You
The successful candidate will have:
- Significant VAT advisory and compliance experience gained within practice.
- Strong technical knowledge of UK VAT legislation.
- Experience managing client relationships and delivering high-quality advisory work.
- Excellent communication, report writing and problem-solving skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to identify new business opportunities.
- Previous experience managing and developing team members.
- ACA, CTA or equivalent qualifications are desirable but not essential.
