Vehicle Technician – £27.00ph – HGV Licence Essential – Bournemouth, Dorset
Based across the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area, this is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Vehicle Technician to join a professional fleet team responsible for keeping essential front line services moving. You'll work on a wide range of commercial vehicles & equipment while benefiting from a supportive team environment & ongoing training.

Key Responsibilities
As a Vehicle Technician, in Bournemouth, Dorset you will:
- Carry out servicing, maintenance & repairs on a mixed fleet of commercial vehicles
- Diagnose faults efficiently & complete repairs to a high standard
- Perform safety inspections & vehicle examinations
- Complete preventative maintenance & scheduled servicing
- Accurately record defects, repairs & parts used electronically
- Ensure compliance with Health & Safety procedures & Operator Licence requirements
- Support apprentices & assist with training where required
- Work collaboratively to keep the fleet operating safely & efficiently
What we're looking for
To be successful, you'll have:
- Previous experience within a busy commercial vehicle workshop
- A valid HGV Licence
- NVQ Level 3, City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Maintenance
- Experience maintaining municipal fleets, including refuse collection vehicles, road sweepers, trailers, tractors, vans & light commercial vehicles
- Strong fault-finding & diagnostic skills
- A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving abilities
- The ability to work independently & as part of a team
- Flexibility to work across sites within the Bournemouth, Christchurch & Poole area
