This is a high-profile role at the centre of a market-leading structured finance franchise, focusing on infrastructure, renewables and other real-asset transactions.
Key responsibilities
-
Lead end-to-end credit due diligence on new infrastructure and project finance proposals, including detailed analysis of counterparties, structures, cashflows and legal frameworks.
-
Review, interrogate and sensitise financial models (project finance and structured finance) to assess base case robustness, downside scenarios, covenant headroom and recovery prospects.
-
Prepare clear, concise and well-argued credit papers and recommendations for internal credit committees and senior risk stakeholders, often under tight timelines.
-
Provide ongoing oversight of a portfolio of transactions, including periodic reviews, waiver and consent requests, rating reviews and exposure management.
What we are looking for
-
Significant experience (typically 7+ years) in credit risk, project finance or structured finance within a bank or similar financial institution, with meaningful exposure to infrastructure and/or power (renewables strongly preferred).
-
Proven track record of underwriting or approving complex limited recourse or structured transactions, ideally in sectors such as renewables, conventional power, transport, digital infrastructure or social infrastructure.
-
Strong analytical skills and familiarity with project finance modelling, including the ability to challenge assumptions and run sensitivities.
-
Solid understanding of credit risk concepts (PD, LGD, risk grading, collateral and covenant frameworks) and of how infrastructure assets behave through the development, construction and operational phases.
-
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex risks and structures clearly to senior stakeholders and committees.
