Warehouse Operative
Location: Rural location – own transport required
About the Role
An opportunity has arisen for a reliable and proactive Warehouse Operative to join a small, supportive team. This varied role combines core warehouse responsibilities with the opportunity to assist with basic technical and operational tasks as required. The successful candidate will be flexible, organised, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Checking and booking in stock deliveries
- Replenishing warehouse stock
- Picking, packing, and dispatching orders
- Assisting with stock counts and inventory checks
- Maintaining accurate warehouse records and documentation
- Supporting colleagues with warehouse-related queries and requests
- Liaising with couriers to arrange collections and track deliveries
- Following health and safety procedures and contributing to a safe working environment
- Undertaking other reasonable duties as requested by management
Skills & Experience
- Previous warehouse experience is essential
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Ability to learn and follow warehouse procedures
- Forklift truck experience or willingness to undertake training
- Basic understanding of health and safety requirements
- Flexible approach to work and working hours
- Ability to build effective working relationships across different departments
- Willingness to travel occasionally if required
Requirements
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving stock
- Able to work both independently and as part of a team
- Full, clean driving licence
- Own vehicle required due to the rural location
- Comfortable working in a semi-rural environment
