Job Description:
To effectively support all warehouse operations and resources during the shift to ensure maximum efficiency and excellent customer service. To maintain the security and upkeep of the warehouse and equipment while ensuring Health and Safety regulations are followed. To ensure housekeeping procedures are adhered to and all stock is picked, stacked, maintained, and secured in accordance with company standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES

- Promote excellent Health and Safety practices to provide a safe, healthy, and secure working environment.
- Ensure compliance with all company standards, policies, and procedures.
- Complete all work accurately and within required timeframes.
- Work effectively as a team member with colleagues across all departments.
- Ensure all incoming stock is unloaded within agreed turnaround times and checked against quality standards.
- Accurately record Best Before End (BBE) details and ensure goods are stored as instructed using Radio Data Terminals (RDTs) where applicable.
- Follow all manual handling guidelines and procedures when handling products.
- Operate machinery only when appropriately trained and authorised.
- Ensure adequate space is available within the marshalling area to receive stock and maintain daily housekeeping routines.
- Ensure stock is received and despatched in good condition, on time, and safely stacked. Ensure orders are picked and despatched accurately using warehouse systems and RDTs where applicable.
- Attend regular meetings with management and stock control teams to support continuous improvement of warehouse operations.
- Follow company procedures and ensure all related documentation is completed accurately.
- Maintain regular communication with management regarding operational and employment matters.
- Use all required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Comply with company policies and procedures at all times.
- Ensure Material Handling Equipment (MHE) is used correctly and only by authorised personnel.
- Report any damage, breakages, or incidents in accordance with company procedures.
- Report dangerous occurrences in line with Health and Safety regulations.
- Record accurate information on daily safety checks of warehouse equipment.
- Demonstrate flexibility in job duties and working patterns when required.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as requested by management.
- Notify your line manager of any potential Health and Safety concerns.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence from a recognised training provider.
- GCSE-level education or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written English language skills.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Experience working in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Knowledge of manual handling practices.
- Experience using Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Familiarity with Radio Data Terminals (RDTs) and barcode scanning systems.
- Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to treat others with dignity and respect.
- Commitment to delivering high-quality service to internal and external customers.
- Proactive communication skills.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Customer and service-oriented approach.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to complete work within required timeframes.
