Warehouse Operative

Location: Fawley
Pay: £13.49 per hour (paid weekly)
Hours: 07:00 – 16:00, Monday to Friday
Contract: Temp to perm

We are currently recruiting a Warehouse Operator to join our team in Fawley. This role reports directly to the Warehouse Team Lead and offers an excellent opportunity to gain experience within a busy, safety focused warehouse environment, with the possibility of longer term employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Working safely at all times in compliance with site Health & Safety procedures
  • Taking responsibility for your own safety and the safety of others
  • Operating within site Personnel Safety Management Systems (PSMS)
  • Picking and issuing materials to site
  • Storing materials in racking and shelving locations
  • Delivering materials to site using a van or forklift truck
  • Loading and unloading materials using a forklift truck
  • Manning the warehouse service counter
  • Goods receipting and processing deliveries
  • Data entry into the warehouse management system (SAP) and spreadsheets
  • Dispatching materials
  • Participating in an on-call rota for site emergency material requests
  • Working additional hours when required to support the customer
  • Responding to ad hoc requests from management

What We’re Looking For:

  • Good numeracy, literacy, communication skills, and attention to detail
  • IT literate 
  • Forklift truck experience 
  • Ability to prioritise workload and work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to take initiative while knowing when to seek support
  • A valid UK driving licence with no more than 6 points (speeding offences only)
