Warehouse Operative
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £28,397.47 per annum
Hours: 42.5 hours per week (Rolling Shift Pattern)

Our client, a well-established and growing logistics business based in Milton Keynes, is looking to recruit a reliable and motivated Warehouse Operative to join their busy warehouse team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with warehouse experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in delivering high standards of accuracy, safety and customer service.
The Role
As a Warehouse Operative, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, ensuring stock is handled accurately, safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out regular stock checks and perpetual inventory counts.
- Book goods in and out using warehouse management systems.
- Complete warehouse administration and general office duties as required.
- Liaise professionally and courteously with internal customers.
- Load and unload vehicles safely and efficiently.
- Update warehouse systems with a high level of accuracy.
- Ensure all incoming and outgoing goods are correctly recorded and processed.
- Label equipment and stock clearly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe warehouse and yard.
- Follow all loading and unloading procedures.
- Ensure all outbound loads are correct, fit for transit and free from damage.
- Escalate any issues promptly to the appropriate person.
- Adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures.
- Maintain company standards in line with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
- Ensure all warehouse processes are followed and paperwork is completed accurately.
- Operate Fork Lift Trucks and other warehouse equipment safely.
- Support other areas of the business when required and, on occasion, work at other company sites to meet operational demands.
About You
We're looking for someone who has:
Previous warehouse experience.
- Experience with warehouse administration and stock control, including perpetual stock checks.
- A strong commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
- Good IT skills and experience using warehouse or stock control systems.
- A flexible, positive and proactive approach to work.
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Desirable Licences
- Counterbalance Forklift Licence
- Reach Truck Licence
- Fork Lift Truck Licence
- Powered Pedestrian Truck Licence
- Full UK Driving Licence
