Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Warehouse & Operations Administrator to support our clients logistics and warehouse operations. This role will involve a combination of warehouse duties and office-based administrative tasks, with approximately three days per week spent in the warehouse and two days in the office.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of freight, maintaining operational accuracy, and supporting the wider logistics team with administrative responsibilities.
Key ResponsibilitiesWarehouse Operations (Approx. 3 Days per Week)
- Load and unload trucks and shipping containers safely and efficiently.
- Assist with the movement, storage, and handling of freight within the warehouse.
- Prepare and consolidate shipments for dispatch.
- Ensure freight is loaded securely and in accordance with operational procedures.
- Conduct basic warehouse housekeeping and maintain a safe working environment.
- Assist with stock checks and inventory control as required.
Office & Administrative Duties (Approx. 2 Days per Week)
- Support the operations team with general administration tasks.
- Process shipment documentation and maintain accurate records.
- Update internal systems and track freight movements.
- Liaise with warehouse staff, drivers, and customers regarding shipments.
- Assist with scheduling and operational planning activities.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and documentation requirements.
Skills & ExperienceEssential
- Previous experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
- Experience loading and unloading trucks and containers.
- Good organisational and communication skills.
- Basic computer literacy and confidence using office systems.
Forklift licence essential
